Musical fans will certainly enjoy the opportunity to see a live production of “Oklahoma!” in an outdoor amphitheater in the heart of Oklahoma. This music delight has been one of the most popular musicals in the country for a number of years, but in Oklahoma it is at its best. Discoveryland USA has been providing live productions of “Oklahoma!” as well as “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” for more than thirty years. As a result, Discoveryland USA, located outside of Tulsa, has become one of the most popular attractions in the state. An outdoor amphitheater is the site of the productions, produced by some 50 dancers, actors and singers hailing from around the country. Guests who wish to dine at the production are served a traditional ranch style dinner before the show. The dinner includes a rib-eye sandwich, corn on the cob, beans, potato salad and iced team. Pre-show entertainment consisting of Native American dancers, a western music revue, pony rides for the kids and a visit by the Pony Express is also offered. An Indian Trading Post is also located on site, allowing guest the chance to browse for authentic Native American beadwork, jewelry, art and crafts. Following the show, guests are presented with the opportunity to visit the performers.
