Did you know that they can do a background check not just where you live but nationwide? The nationwide background checks are very thorough and they don’t give up in checking your references just because it was in another state. They are very thorough these days and a lot of companies hire companies that all they do is check references so they go through your application data with a fine tooth comb and will catch any inconsistency or lie you put in there. I have a sneaking suspicion that they have some kind of a system where background check companies share data like if you’ve been caught lying on your application, but I’m not sure. If it’s legal that is, they are very good about staying within the law when it comes to your privacy.
