State Health Insurance Policies
When the california state health insurance policies went into effect, there were several different reactions to state provided health care that was generated by a new tax placed on the residents of California.
Of course it was a boon to those who were on state aid & could not buy their own insurance. But for those tax payers who felt that they were already taxed to the hilt, it was hard to swallow.
Non tax payers were not effected in a negative way & many tax payers did feel that it was a good thing, as it added to their existing insurance policy, covering some things that their policy did not.
