11/20 The Privacy of Social Media
Every one is talking about social media these days. If it’s not Facebook it’s MySpace. If not that, it’s Delicious, then LinkedIn, and many other companies are trying to get in on the game too. I can’t quite see it. Why would I want to let everyone know who I am and where I am, how many kids I have and what I do for a living. Sheesh! What happened to privacy? And in a world where privacy is valued to the point where you can be taken to court for writing someone’s name and address down on a formal sheet of paper, how come people want to advertise their profile to everyone who wants it? What a crazy world of paradox!
