02/01 The Fedora Is Back
The Fedora is coming back into style in a major way. Maybe it’s the 50s and 60s period shows that are popular on television, or maybe it’s just that people just like the style again; whatever it is, you can find a lot more of the stylish hats wherever you go. The surprising thing, though, isn’t so much that people are wearing them, it’s that such a wide variety of people are wearing them. It doesn’t matter what type of place you are at, whether it’s a place where people dress up, or a place where casual is the way to go, people of all backgrounds are making the Fedora a part of their ensemble.
In a way, the Fedora never did go away. While it may not have been as popular as it was in the 1950s and 60s, you could still see it worn, typically in the older community and typically during special events. While you saw the occasional younger person wearing it, it was typically done in a rather “ironic” way. No one younger than 30 would seriously consider wearing a Fedora unless it was done as part of an ensemble that was worn to ironically bring up the yesteryear’s.
So what changed? While you could look at some of the shows that have been on television lately, you may also look at the fact that the suit has also come back into style as well. Because younger people are wearing suits on a daily basis (both for work and for going out), they are also looking for accessories that look good with what they are wearing. Because there are so many different Fedora’s out there, it’s easy to find one that matches just about any suit out there, meaning that it’s the perfect accessory when you want to bring something new to the table.
Because of the popularity of the Fedora you can get them just about anywhere. You can find a section of them at your local department store, or even find options at your discount clothing store as well. For those who are looking for great prices, as well as already know the size they need, the Internet has plenty of online shops that have plenty of different hats for you to consider.
