Barefoot Running

Barefoot running has been applauded widely within the press as well as on running websites as being a natural option to running footwear. Several runners, think that running barefoot is harmful and places the foot at risk or injury, not to mention going barefoot in the freezing temperatures. Barefoot runners always point to the healthy benefits of barefoot running. They claim fewer injuries from running barefoot, they claim much better foot and leg biomechanics, and make statements that it improves foot and leg muscles strength. None of these claims are yet sustained by any research proof and remain unverified. A lot more research is required on this.
