One thing that a lot of people don’t realize is there are so many different types of solar panels on the market. The efficiency between the models can be huge. The other big difference can be the types of conditions they work best in. i.e. If you live in a snowy weather you want to make sure the solar panels on your roof are designed to accomadate that type of weather! You also want to look at quality as far as wear and tear goes and how long they are expected to last. Little scratches can decrease their performance over time.
