Worms Like it Cool and Damp
When it’s hot outside, how do you keep your worms cool? This can be a problem if you live somewhere that has really warm to hot summers. Worms are happiest in Worm Farms that are cool, damp, and dark.
In order to maintain a somewhat cooler environment for the worms in the heat of summer there are a few things you can do.
If you freeze the excess liquid that has drained out of the bins, you thaw it out and spray it onto the farm while it is still cold. You can also freeze water in plastic bottles and bury them in the bedding. These will help to keep the bedding cool.
Although it would be best for the farm to be inside someplace cool, that is not always possible. There are ways to work around it and keep your farm at the right temperature.
