The Accident That Gave Us The First Cookie

The first chocolate chip cookie invented was in the 1930s by Ruth Wakefield and is one of the most popular sweets around the country and around the globe. The First Cookie was baked by accident when Ruth ran out of the baker’s chocolate while baking Butter Drop Do and instead, used a chocolate bar that was given by Andrew Nestle. She thought the chopped chocolates would melt but instead just got creamier and smoother while retaining its forms. Her guests liked the cookie and then with time, the popularity of her cookie became known and is enjoyed around the world.
